SPECIAL ~~~fEETING JIILY 21ST, 1932.
The City Council of 'the city of Lynwood met in a special
session pursuant to call of ~F.ayor Snyder, at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza
Street, on above date, at 9:30 PM, which said call read as follow.:
"You are hereby notified to a ttend a Special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Lynwood, 'hursday, July- 21st,1932, at 9;30 PM
for the purpose of appointing a councilman as successor to P47r.J.H.Grayson,
who resigned on June 21st, 1932. Yours truly, Cecil E. Snyder, Mayor of the
City of Lynwood."
It was moved by councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman
Schouten that the minutes of the regular meeting of July 19th,193~, be
read.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Davies and Schouten.
Noes: Councilmen Williams and Snyder. ~~
I~ was moved by Councilman ~'~illiams that Mr.V.A.Nation be
appointed Councilmanto fill the vacancy created by the resignation of
~~r.J.G.Grayson. There being no second, same lost for lack of a second.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Williams that Rgr.Denny
be appointed Councilman to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of
~+~r.J.H.Grayon. ~dlayor Snyder requested Councilman Williams to take the
chair as Chairman, which he did, whereupon Councilman Snyder seconded
the motion of Councilman b`~illiams.

Ayes: Councilmen Williams and Snyder.-
Not voting: Councilmen Davies and Schouten.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded
by Councilman Davies that the meeting adjourn to July 26th, 1932, at
8:00 P.M.
Mr. Lyman i~2organ addressed the Council urging the Council to
appoint a successor and not force an election.

Ayes: Councilmen Snyder, Williams, Schouten acid Davies.
Noes: None. .~
