Gity Attorney ~ergins stated that he had a communication which
he produced to the Mayor, but was not filed for public record, from a
fir. F. A. Baughan of Huntington Park, to the effect that he had checked
a list of the names who signed the recall petitions for Schouten and
billiams and found out of some 176 names that, seven were not registered,
therefore, that if it develops that the same ratio is found for the re-
mainder that the petitions willnot have been signed by the requisite
number, therefore the City Attorney suggested that the City Clerk re-
check the petitions. Councilman Williams also stated that he was with
Mr. Baughan when the check was made. No action was taken other than
the City Clerk was instructed to re-check said petitions for errors.
It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman
Williams that the meeting adjourn to January 3rd, 1933, at 7: 30 P. M.

Ayes: Councilmen Williams, Gillett, Snyder and Davies.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Schouten.
