M. Mayor nro temx~re Snyder in the Chair. Councilmen `,'fright, Daetweiler, Davies and Snyder answered the roll call. Councilman Gillett was absent. Councilman Davies addressed the Council stating that inasmuch as the City Council nave been presented with a copy of the minutes of the last adjourned regular meeting of January 23rd, 1933, I move that the read ing of the minutes be dispensed with and that said minutes be approved by the Council as per copy received, and that in the future the same practise be ~1.lowed, and the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to post a copy of the minutes of each meeting on the bulletin board in the City Hall for perusal of interested citizens, which motion Vras duly seconded by Councilman Wright, and upon roll call showed the following result: Ayes: Councilmen 1Yright, Daetweiler, Davies and Snyder. Noes:None. Absent Councilman Gillett. It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Wright that Mr. Lewis Daetweiler be nominated and appointed as City Counci: man of the City of Lynwood to fill the vacancy created by the recall of Mr. Mont Williams. Roll Call: Ayes : Councilmen `~'Jright, Davies and Snyder. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Gillett. 't'hereupon the City Clerk administered the Constitutional oath of office and had same subsceibed to, whereupon 1VIr. Daetweiler was inducted into office as Councilman of the City of Lynwood. `t'he health report for week ending January 14th, 1933, was re- ceived, and there being no objection, the PYTayor ordered same filed. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman lvright that said ordinance No. 204 be adopted as read the second time, be finally passed and z~ublished as required by law. Roll Call Ayes: Councilmen I'Jright, Daetweiler, Davies and Snyder. Noes;None. Absent: Councilman Gillett. NEW BUSINESS e i y Jerk addressed the Council stating that there are three insurance policies expiring on January 30th, two covering City Buildings and Contents in the amount of X20,000.00 and one covering electrical equip- ment on water Plants 2 and 3, stating further. that he has three applicatior. to renew same from Floyd B. Rowlee, Lynwood Realty and 3 Rebers respective) quoting a premium charge of244.00 to be written in Board Company covering buildings for a period of three years, and a premium charge of 125.48 for coverage in a Board Company on electrical equipment, for period of one year A letter was also received from tiYater Superintendent Bateman recommending coverage for electrical equipment. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Coun- cilman Daetweiler that the insurance be awarded to Messrs. t`~loyd Rowlee, Claude Reber and A. Tom. A communication was received frorn Desk Sergeant Robert Reynolds requesting~a leave of absence as it is necessary for him to submit to an operation on January 25th, with recommendation by Police Chief Bailey on the bottom of the communication for the Council to grant 60 days leave of absence. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Coun- cilman Daetweiler that Sergeant Reynolds be granted a 60 days leave of a- bsence, as per request and recommendation, without pay. Noes: None. absent: Councilman Gillett. It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Daetweiler that Attorney C. B. Hub~~ard be appointed temporary City At- torney of the City of Lvn~vood. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen ?~lrignt, Daetweiler, Davies and Snyder. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Gillett. It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman tiYright that Folice Officers Floyd Davis and George Felix be discharged as Police Officers of tt~e City of ~~ynvrood to take effect immediately, and that T.~ir. H. C. Gardner be reappointed as Police Officer`of the City of Lynwood at a salary of X150.00 per month; and. also that Messrs. '"'"" John It". Bennett and Floyd Ricrac°dscn be re-appointed as Police ~.fficers of the City of hynwood a_t a salary of 120.00 per montn respectively.
