NZ. Mayor pro tempre Snyder in the chair. Councilmen Davies, Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Snyder answered the roll call. It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Wright that the minutes of the previous ad3ourned regular meeting of Jan- wary 31st, 1933 be approved as written. Roll Ca11: Ayes: Councilmen Davies, Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Snyder. Noes: None. An invitation was received from Mayor Jas. M. Fisk of San Gabriel irwiting the Council to attend a meeting of the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities to be held in their City on February 9th, 1933, dinner to be served at 6:30 P. M. There being no objection, the Mayor ordered the communication filed and urged any member of the council that can to attend. A communication was received from the Petrol Corporation offering to furnish gasoline f`or the City at 112 per gallon delivered, including State Tax and exclusive of any Federal Tax. There being no ob3ection, the Mayor ordered the communication filed and appointed a committee of three consisting of Councilmen Wright, Davies and himself to investigate the mat- ter and report their findings to the council. Mrs. Amanda Keeler's request for transfer of lighting assessment erroneously credited to slot other than her own, be credited to her Lot, lasing described as the Fast one-half of the northerly 40 feet of South- erly 80 feet of Lot 2, Modjeska Acres, was again brought up for considera- tion. It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Childs that the City Treasurer be instructed to correct the clerical error and have the payment of said lighting assessment credited to the correct Lot, axed requestTvirs. Keeler to file her receipt showing payment of same in his office. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Davies, Wright,. Daetweiler, Childs and Snyder. Noes: None. A communication was received from Mr. A. J. Wiggins of Lynwood, California, offering to furnish the Cityts automotive equipment upon re- quisitions therefor with discounts ranging from 25~ to 35~, approximately 10~ cheaper than that now received by the City through its Mechanical Department. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Wright that City Mechanic Bishop be instructed to buy all automotive equipment for use on City equipment locally, price and commod- ity being better or equal, upon requisitions therefor. ~~ Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Davies, Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Snyder. Noes: None. Audit report for quarter ending December 31st, 1932 covering City Books was received from R. D. Crenshaw & Company. There being no objection, the Mayor ordered the report filed commenting that Mr. Wright, who is the man in charge of the audit, stated that he found all records kept in good order. Rer~orts of activities of Police Department :end Business,License Department for the month of January, 1933, were received; also health report for week ending January 28th, 1933; also statement showing condi- tion of budget and fund balances were received. There being no objection the Mayor ordered said reports filed. REPORTS OF SPECIAL COT~~ITTT',FS: Councilman Davies reported relative to Mayor Snyder's and his appointment with the Board of Supervisors, stating that they met Super- visors Quinn and Thatcher and the prospects looks favorable for allocation ofa substantial sum for Lynwood from the loan from the Reconstruction Fin- , ante Corporation.. Thereupon it was moved.b y Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Daetweiler that said Resoluti on No. 823 be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen 'Davies, Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Snyder. Noes: None. NEW BUSINESS: It was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman Daetweiler that the salary resolution be amended fixing Street Foreman F. L. Porter's salary at 12.0.00 per month.
