A communication was received from the County League of Municipa- lities announcing a special meeting in Tvynwood at the 'rYoman's Club house on Thursday, Ivarch 2nd, at 6:30 t'. T~1.; also a meeting for Sixth Class Cities on the same date at 1:50 i'. Ni., when pending legislation ~^rill be discussed, inviting the Council to attend. The Mayor requested that all who are able to attend said meeting do ~o. A communication was received from Cxeor~e R. Cadan, President of the League of California Municipalities requesting the Council to sup- port the League's gasoline measure now before the State Legislature which. provides that a portion of the 3~ gasoline tax revenues be returned to the Cities, and oppose all other measures in conflict therewith; also com- munications were received from the Los Angeles League and from R. Earl Ruddy, Secretary-Manager of the State League urging support of said measure being known as Assembly Bill No. 1172.
