The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned re-
gular session, at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date, at
7:30 Y. M.
Mayor Davies in the chair.
Councilmen "nyder, Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Davies answered
the roll call.
It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Childs
that the minutes of the regular meeting of February 20th, 1934 be approved
as written.

Ayes: Councilmen Snyder, Wright, Childs, Daetweiler and Davies.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
common eat on was received from Mabel E. Cohn to the effect ~'"
that they are endeavoring to hold a gigantic rabbit show in Lynwood at
the B~echwood Rabbitry, 3575 East Beachwood Ave. on March 18th, request-
ing that the City erect cardboard arrows on the two major highways both
ways, directing out of town visitors to the show, stating that the cost
will probably not exceed 5.00.
It was moved bq Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman
Childs that the request he granted and teat the Citq contribute not to
exceed 5.00 for advertising said show uron presentation of claims for
same, said Mabel E. CoYn to take care of x~osting of said advertising signs.

~l'he health report for week ending February 17th, 1934, was re-
ceived and ordered filed.
ORAL COMMUNICr~TIONS
Mr. Wm. Potts of the Mulford Garage addressed the Council, seek-
ing information veh y his claim in the amount of 8.00 for towing in two
cars, one for Mr. Cavanaugh and one for Mrs. Kelly, upon a call from the
Police Department was not allowed. City Attorney Hubbard spoke on behalf
of the Council stating that it is his opinion that the claim is not a
legal claim, and that the Police Department have no legal authority to
order anybody to pull any ear out of a ditch, and if they do, na such
claim can legally be paid by the City, but such authorization must come
from the majority of the Council upon motio~i duly adopted. No action was '""'"
taken.
NEW BUSINESS:
ontract between the City of Lynwood and H. V. Bishop to do the
mechanical work on all City motor vehicles for a period of one year from
March 1st, 1934, he to receive a fee in the sum of 900.00 to be paid in
installments of 75.00 per month. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman
Childs and seconded by Councilman Daetweiler that said Agreement and Con-
tract be accepted and the Mayor be authorized to execute said contract
for and in behalf of the Citg ^f Lynwood .

ORDINAT~CF ~?0. 231, entitled: "An Ordinance of the City o.f Lyn-
wood fixing the compensation of certain officers of sai~~. City', by fix-
ing the compensation of the City Cl~:rk and City `t'reasurer in the amount
of 170.00 per month, respectively, to take effect on the third Monday
in April, 1934, wa s read. It was moved b~ Councilman Snyder and seconded
by Councilman Childs that said "r dinance be accepted as read the first
time and pass to the second reading.

It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman
Childs that the demands be allowed and warrants be drawn on the City Treas-
urer for said various amounts.
