The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a regular ses-
sion, at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date at 7:30 P. M.
Mayor Davies in the chair.
Councilmen Wright, Daetweiler, Childs and Davies answered the
roll call.
Councilman Snyder was absent.
It eras moved by Councilman !'1ri~ht a.nd seconded by Councilman
Childs that the minutes of the previous adjourned regular meeting of Feb-
buary 27th, 1934, be approved as written.

WRITTEPI COMMUNICATIONS
communication was received from the University of Southern
California announcing their Sixth Annual Institute of Government to be
held at the University of Southern California, April 2nd, to 7th, inclu-
sive, transferrable membersh~ fee 15.00, individual membersrdp fee X10.00.
There being no objection, the Mayor ordered the communication filed, sug-
gesting that if any one cares to avail themselves of the opportunity to
attend, they can do so.
A communication was received from the League of California Muni-
cipalities reporting on a recent Rosrd of nirector~s meeting wh en the

yor ordered same fj.led.

Chief R. L. Dunlap; also health report for week ending February 27th,
1934, and monthly report for January, were received, and there being no
ob3ection, the Mayor ordered same filed.
UNFINISHED BUST NESS:
DINANCE N0. 31, entitbd: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LPN- .
WOOD FIXING THE COMPEN5ATIUN OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY", being
the City Clerk and Treasurer's salary at X170.00 per month, was read
for the second time. It was moved by Councilman Daetweiler and seconded
by Councilman Wright that the Ordinance be adopted as read the second
time, finally pass and be published as required by law.

by Councilman Childs that said Resolution No. 901 be adopted.

It was moved by Councilman Childs and seconded by Councilman Snyder
that the demands be allowed and warrants be drawn on the City Treasurer for
said various .amounts.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen ~rJright, Daetweiler, Childs and Davies.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Snyder.
Discussion was had relative to the claim of Mr. M. 0. Trudeau for
work performed in the City Engineer TS office on C. C~. A. pra~ects which
services the C. N7. ,~. have failed to pay for and Mr. Trudeau now submitting
his claim in the amount of 206.80 to the City for payment. Mr. Trudeau
addressed the Council relative to the matter, agreement to settle Eor a
small amount. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Childs and seconded by
Councilman Wright that the City of Lynwood pay Mr. Trudeau the sum of ~125.C
as full settlement of his claim against the C. W. A. for his services in the
City Engineers Department on preliminary work an C. bY. A. projects, and if
it finally develops that the Civil ~~orks Administration honors Mr. Trudeau~s
claim, that he reimburse the City of Lynwood for said sum advances. Mayor
Davies stated that while the City Attorney has ruled that the City are in
no way legally obligated to pay the claim, yet the Council do not want to be
unfair and take advantage of the situation, as they all know that the ser-
vice was rendered in good faith, and feel that Mr. Trudeau should be remun-
erated therefor.
