The health reports for weeks ending March 31st and April 7th were received and there being no objection, the Mayor ordered same filed. The surety bond covering Kathryn Maude Kirkeby as Court Clerk was presented, said bond being in the penal sum of X1,000.00. It was moved by Councilman Wright. and seconded by Councilman Daetweiler that said bond be accepted and approved by the Council. Roll Call Ayes: Councilmen Snyder, light, Daetweiler and Davies. City ~t~;orney riubbard addressed the Council submitting form of proof of claim required by the ~ondin~ Company on the Court Clerk bond, covering the claim that the Cii,y Attorney filed. There being no ob jection the matter was turned over to the City Clerk for investigation ~d executior. The Resignati on of 141r. C. B. Hubbard as City Attorney of the City of Lynwood was received, stating that because of the change in administra- tion, he believes they should have the right to select their own Counsel, assuring that it has been a pleasure to serve the City during his appoint- ment. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman ~°~right and seconded by Council- man Daetweiler that said resignation of Nir. Hubbard as City Attorney be ac- cepted. The CityClerk announced thGt he had received five absent voter's ballots, whereupon it vras moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Coun- cilman '."bight that we proceed to canvass the absent voter's ballots. T.he signatures on the identification envelopes we:r~e examined with the sig- natures contained in the register of affidavits and were found to be the genuine signature of said voters. Thee eupon the indentification en- veop~es were opened and the ballots placed in the ballot box, after which the ballot box was ~ aken thus mixing the .ballots up and the votes were thereafter tallied. Hubbard im- posed the constitutional oath of offic° to City Clerk .Anderson under the authority vested in him as a'Notary Public, after which the City Clerk . imposed the constitutional oath of office to lvessrs. Chas. G. Boster, Ralph VY. Lake, Raymond 1Yieyer as members of tY~~e City Council, and Mr. Chas. C. Keed as City 'T'reasurer of the City of Lynwrood, whereupon they were in- ducted into their respective ofi~ice. ~x-Mayor Davies addressed the Council expressing congratulations to the newly elected of ficia.ls and vrishing them every success in their new endeavor. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Daetweiler and seconded by Councilman L=ike that the meeting adjourn to April 17th, 1934, at 7:30 P.
