G~ a A'_i'TE° T d' I LR ~ L b~IS : '"" ~8~3 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned re- gular session, at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on abo--e date, at 5 P.M. Mayor Bolter in the chair. Councilmen Meyer, Snyder and Bolter answered the roll call. Councilmen Lake and Daetweiler were absent. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the minutes of the regular meeting of June 5th, 1934 be ap- proved as written. Plans and Specifications for the furnishing for a period of one year the service necessary to maintain and illuminate by means of electric energy the suspended street lamps and lamps located on ornamental stan- dards in Lighting Assessment District No. ? of the City of Lynwood and re- port of `ity Engineer in said matter were received and read covering the fiscal year 1934-1935. Thereupon RESOLUTI ON N0. 908, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNS~400D ADOPTING THE REPORT OF THE CITY ENGIN- EER RELATING TO THE SF,RVICE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND ILLUMINATE BY ELE C- TRI C ENERGY THE SUSPENDED S'?'REET LAMPS AND THE LAMPS ON ORNAMENTAL STAN~- DARnS IN LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. ? OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD", was read.. It was moved by Councilman Meyer and seconded by Councilman Snyder that said Resolution No. 90? be adopted. Hull Call: Ayes: Councilmen Meyer, Snyder and Roster. Noes : None. Absent: Councilmen Lake and Daetweiler. Councilman Snyder addressed the Council to the effect that the Lynwood Tribune is putting out a convention issue of their paper and a full-page add would cost the City35.00 and a half-page ~1?.50, stating that he believes the publicity received thereby would be well worth the expense incurred as a paper will be given to each guest. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Meyer and seconded by Coun- cilman Snyder that we take aut an add in the ltynwood Tribune covering a half-page for said price of 17.50 far the special Exchange Club edition. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Meye that ~50.UU be approg~iated to the Decoration Uommittee to decorate the Boulevard (Long Beach) between Fernwood avenue and Imperial Highway, and the City Hall for the coming State Exchange Club convention. poll Cal 1 Ayes: Councilmen Meyer, Snyder and Bolter. Mary or Buster instructed the City Attozn ey to prepare a statement for the newspapers of Lynwood relative to what has been done on the SERA projects and the present status of same. Councilman Snyder addressed the Council to the effect that the Lynwood Press are and have been circulating their shopper without baying the license as required by the hand bill cr dinance, therefore, suggesting that they be required to pay the fee. Thereupon Mayor Buster instructed License Collector Collins to collect the license as required by the Ordinance for distribution of hand bills, and to report to the Council anybody that is in arrears. It was moved b~T Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman IJ~er that the meeting adjourn to June 19th, 1934, at 7:30 P. M. All mem- bers of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the mitten car- ried and it was so ordered.
