The City Council of the City of Lynv~ood met in a special session at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date, at 1:30 P. TZ. Mayor Boster in the Chair. Councilmen Lake, ~Zeyer, Nation, Snyder and Boster answered the roll call. The City Clerk announced that each member of the Council had signed a waiver to written notice to be personally delivered to each member at least three hours before the time of the meeting and that: same are on file in his office. Thereupon the City Clerk read same as follows: ,.~-, "I. the undersigned, a member of the City Council of the City of Lynwood, do hereby consent to the holding of a Special ~'Ieeting on February 26th, 193E~, at 1:30 P. I4I. for the purpose of consider- ing and adopting a Resolution with reference to the acquisition of the light and power distribution system of the City of Lynwood, and to consider problems in the ~~~ater Department and take necess- ary action in connection therewith, and do hereby waive vrritten notice thereof. "Dated this 26th day of r'ebruary, 1936". Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Nation that said Resolution P1o. 956 be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Lake, ~~eyer, Nation, Snyder and Boster. Noes: None. T~"Rayor Boster brour;ht up the matter of the charge filed against H. J. Grace, Foreman of the Water Department, wishing to know that action the Council wished to make with respect to the matter. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Coun- cilman Snyder that the '"later Superintendent be instructed to reprimand h~~r. Grace for his misconduct in the affair and that T:Tr. Grace be dsmoted from the position as `.Mater 'r'oreman to that of helper and that l~~r. Rehfeld be assigned to such duty for a period of 90 days at the salary as specified; and that tine `°'ater Superintendent be further instructed to issue instruct- ions regarding the matter of drinking to all men under his command and give the Council's attitude in regards thereto, and also to warn them against using City equipment for tYieir own personal business; also that I~Ir. Grace be instructed to reinburse the City for the expense involved in making the trips to and from Lancaster, said amount to be determined by the Water Superintender'~and the Chief of Police. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Lake, IZeyer, Nation, Snyder and Boster. T3oes : Tlone. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Lake that the meeting adjourn to T~~Iarch 3rd, 1936, at 7:30 P. R~'I.
