M. Mayor Boster in the chair- Couneilmen ake, Meyer, Snyder and Boster answered the roll call. Councilman Nation was absent. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the minutes of the previous regular meating_of October 20th 1936 be approved as written. dll members of the Council present voting aye, the ~-ayor declared the motion carried. WRITTEN COIiMUNICaTIONS: communication was received from Mr. L. A. Harter, 4837 Im- perial Highway,. making. application for a permit to conduct a small dairy at 4837 Imperial Highway on his one and a half acres therm, con- templating keeping 10 cows, stating that Mr. Cummings._of the Bealt h Department has approved the plan for establishment of same, and for them to retail raw milk from premises. Thereupon it was moved by Coun- cilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Meyer that Mr. Harter be granted a permit to operate a small dairy at said location when he has fully complied with ordinance No. 124 regulating said matter and in further compliance with the license ordinance. All members of the Council voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. A communication was received from Mr. Walter S. Rouseau, 5626 Franklin Ave., Hollywood, requesting permit to present a series of the old-fashioned melo-dramas in Lynwood, stating that they will be glad to meet with the Council. end discuss array detail of their plan. There being no objection, the M~~or instructed the City Clerk to re- quest their attendance at the next meeting of. the Council at their executive session at ~ p. M. Manor Boster brought un the matter of safety measures to pre- vent accidents in the City of Lynwood calling attention to three re- cent accidents that have oceured in the City to pedestrians. Chiep of Police Hiller addressed the Council on the matter, recommending that a 24-hour cheek be made of the situation to determine if speed is the euase of same; also recommending that white lines be painted in the center of Fong Beach Boulevard to prevent accidents during foggy wea- ther. 'T'here being no objection, the ~uayor instructed the chief to make a 24-Hour check of traffic and the general situation and produce figures of the cost tomake necessary signs to endeavor to remedy any hazard that might exit. Councilman ake reported on the matter of request for refund of overpayment of water bill charged against 10913-13~ Mallison St. to GuArantee Bldg. & Loan Association, stating that he finds in check- ing the records that the amount is correct. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Snyder that the City Clerk be instructed to make a warrant in favor of the Guarantee Bldg. & Loan Association in the amount of 40.25 for overpayment of water rental charged against said premises. Roll Call: Ayes Councilmen Lake, Meyer, Snyder and Boater. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Nation. Mayor Boster reviewed a report from the water department on an investigation that is being made, but no action was taken in con- nection therewith. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded b4 ~'ouncilman Jnyder that the meeting adjourn to November 4th, TA36, at 7:30 P.
