M., pursuant to call of Mayor Boster, said call reading as follows: "You are hereby notified to attend a Special meeting of the City Council of tre City of Lynwood to ,be held today, May 26th, 1937, at 4:00 P. M., for purpose of considering and e- dopting a Resolution in connection with opening an Escrow•as part of a plan to acquire and retire the present outstanding bonded indebtedness of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 19 (Imperial Highway) of the City of Lynwood, and taYe such other necessary action in connection with said matter as m:~-y be deemed advisable . "We will also consider a proposed ordinance.on connection wits thesale of fireworYs and license fee in connection there- with and taYe such action as we may deem necessary." Said notice having been served on each member of .the City Council at least three hours nr'1.or to the meeting as required by law. Mayor Boster j.n the eh air. Councilmen Me4er, Nation and Roster answered the roll call. Councilmen L~1ce and Snyder were assent. It was moved by CouncilmanMeyer and seconded ?~~ Councilman Nation that the minutes of the previous regular meeting of Mav 18th, { 1937 be approved as written wits the exception of teat part that refers to leave of absences of Nels S. Anderson, Police Officers, and s~me.be amended to provide that such request for leave be left up to the dis- cretion of the Chief of rolice; and to amend the part that refers to leave of absence for other employees be first taken up with the Depart- ment head and recommended by ~caem before granted. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered. RESOLUTION N0. 986, approving an Escrow Agreement between the City and the security-First Natiohal Bann, the purpose of which is to open an escrow as a part of a plan to acquire and retire the pre- sent outstanding bonded indebtedness of Acquisition and Im~rovenrent District No. I9 in the City of Lynwood, approving Exhibit A" and "B" attached to said Resolution and accepting same as true and final escrow agreements,' was read. It was moved by Councilman Nation and secanded~ by Councilman Meyer that said Resolution be adopted, subject to~the ap- proval of the City Attorney. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Late, Nation and Boster. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen LQke and Snyder. Discussion was had regArdj.n~; amending the Fire ~Norlcs Ordin- ance, but no action was taken in connection therewith. ~ ' It was moved by Councilman MPver and seconded by ^ouncilman Nation thaa ttie meeting adiourn to June 1st, T937.
