CALL TO ORDER
The Council Work Session of November 6, 2002, was convened at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Tom
Rackers.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Angle, Ferguson, Groner, Klindt, Olsen, Smith, Viessman, Vincent, Weber, and
Vogel
Others present:
CVB - Charlie Brzuchalski, Rob Agee, David Wallace, Lisa Steiner, Steve
Duncan, Beth Carmichael, Steve Picker, Shelley Light, Duane
Schreimann.
City Staff - Steve Schlueter, Bill Lockwood, Allen Garner, Melva Fast
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Convention Visitors Bureau board members and staff members were introduced. A
presentation of past and current CVB activities was reviewed by Charlie Brzuchalski.
Renewal of the CVB contract was the focus of the meeting. A suggestion to bid out the
accounting function of CVB was presented; CVB will investigate. Those in attendance
agreed that a meeting to review and discuss CVB activities prior to each annual contract
renewal would be beneficial.
A discussion was held regarding the financial disclosure ordinance proposed by
Councilman Larry Vincent. It was suggested that the Council devise its own financial
disclosure form and file it with the City Clerk. Councilmen Vincent, Weber, and Smith will
meet as a committee to devise the new form. Councilman Angle requested Allen Garner
to prepare information for the Council regarding conflicts of interest and duty to vote.
No actions were taken as the meeting was a Work Session only.
The Work Session ended at 7:50 PM.
