Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Ovation and seconded by Councilman Lake that permission be granted and that the License Collec- tor be authorized to issue license therefor upon application therefor, and that for his office building, application be first made to the Building Inspector for Hermit therefor same to come up to whatever requirement set forth by said officer. All members of the Council pres- ent voting aye, the P~~iayor declared the motion du11T carried. A communication was received from F. ?~. Evans, Build3nM In- spector, reporting on application of one ~rlrs. C. C. Dee ~'or license to sell dogs and pets at 11316 Atlantic, stating that he found upon investi- gation that the above address is located in the center of the block with the fertilizer selling yards tree nearest place on the north and T~Tr. Nation addressed the Council to the effect that there exists in certain parts of th? ri.tZr dilapidated buildings that are not only ,a fire hazard, but detract from the general annearance of the City, suggestinb that some action be to?yen to rid the rittT of same. There being no objection, the BuildingT Inspector i^~as instructed to make a survey of the City and give location of buildings that are in such condition and report his findings to the City Council for further action. Thereupon it wa.s moved by Councilman Nation and seconded by Councilman Lake that the budget. for fiscal ,year 1937-1938 be adopted as the official budget for said fiscal .year. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Nation that the Police Department be authorized to make the improve- ments suggested in their letter received at the last regular meeting and that °~rir.
