HomeMy Public PortalAbout20021118 premeeetingCOUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 18, 2002 CALL TO ORDER The Council Work Session of November 18, 2002, was convened at 5:45 p.m. by Mayor Tom Rackers. ATTENDANCE The following Council Members were present: Present: Angle, Ferguson, Groner, Klindt, Olsen, Smith, Viessman, Vogel, and Weber Absent: Vincent DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS Consent Agenda: Councilman Richard Groner stated he will request that Item (e), Renewal of Contract with Convention & Visitors' Bureau, be removed from the Consent Agenda and held over for more information from the CVB. City Administrator Rich Mays asked what information Councilman Groner would like to have so that the CVB can respond to his request. Mr. Groner stated he would like information on: 1. City doing the CVB audit vs. hiring it done by an outside auditor 2. Structure the budget so it shows past year alongside current year for comparison 3. Attorney - client relationship with contracts Councilman Bob Weber stated he will request that Item (d), South School Pedestrian /Bike Trail Change Order #3, be considered separately because he plans to abstain from voting on that item. Bills Introduced: Bill 2002 -108 — Councilman Richard Groner stated he will ask Finance Director Steve Schlueter to give his independent analysis on this item. Alan Pollack, Housing Authority Director, will be present to make a presentation and answer questions on this item. COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 18, 2002 No actions were taken as the meeting was a Work Session only. Bills Pending: 2002 -103 — Councilman Edith Vogel stated this item will be placed on the Informal Calendar 2002 -104 — Councilman Bob Weber will be making a minor amendment to the bill to substitute "authorized vehicles" in the place of "commercial vehicles" in two places in the bill. No officials actions were taken as this was a work session only. The Work Session ended at 6:00 P.M.
