HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1937-11-23 - CC~~?f~l ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING NCVEIt~BER 23rd, 1937 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned regular session, at the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date at 4:30 P.T~~. Mayor Boster in the chair. Councilmen Lake, Meyer, Nation, Snyder and Boster answered the roll call. A communication was received from the City of South Gate, attaching certified copy of Resolution No. 723, granting ,jurisdiction in connection with the refunding of the indebtedness of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 19 of the City of Lynwood. A certified Resolution was also received from the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County wherein they consent to certain re- funding proceedings in connection with the refunding of the indebted- ness of Acquisition and improvement District No. 19 of the City of Lynwood, said Resolution having been adopted on November 16th, 1937. A certified copy c~'Resolution adopted by the Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County was also received wherein they determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity re- quire the refunding of the indebtedness of Acquisition and Improve- ment District No. 19 and contribute X92,834.81 to aid and assist in such refunding; specifying that the amount to be refunded sh~.l not ex- ceed the Burn of X104,300;00, and said contribution shall be used for the purpose of purchasing outstanding bonds of said district. There being no objection, the Mayor ordered said certified copies of Resolutions in connection Frith said matter filed with the proceedings, after which the follav~ring resolution was introduced and read: RESOLUTION N0. 1024, entitled: "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUN= CIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO REFUND THE INDEBTEDNESS OF ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEL~iEP1T DISTRICT N0. 19 OF SAID CITY AND FIXING A TIPJ;E AND PLACE FUR HEARING," fixing December 28th, 1937 at the hour of 8 P.~,~. as the time far the hear- ing of protests in connection with said m~.tter, was read. It was moved by Councilman Nation and seconded by Councilman Meyer that said Resolution No. 1024 be adopted. Ro11 Ca11: Ayes: Councilmen Lake, Meyer, Nation, Snyder and Boster. Noes: None It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the meeting adjourn to November 30th, 1937, at 7 ELI.
