Mayor Nation in the chair. Councilmen Lake, Bolter, Meyer and Nation anstivered the roll call. Councilman Snyder was absent. The Mayor directed the City Clerk to read the call for this meeting, which said Clerk proceeded to do and which said call was in the following words and figures, to-~!it: "April 27th, 1938 Honorable Cecil E. Snyder 3622 Agnes Street, Lynwood, California. Ray Meyer, 3283 Louise Ave., Lynwood, California. C. G. Bolter, 3294 Fernwood Ave., Lynwood, California. Ralph W. Lake, 3699 Agnes Ave., Lynwood, California, a.nd V. A. Nation, 3224 Mulford Ave., Lynwood, California . Dear Councilmen: You are hereby notified that a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Lynwood is hereby called to be held in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Lynwood, at the hour of 1:45 P. M., April 28th, 1938, for the purpose of adopting a Resolution granting consent to the City Council of the City of South Gate to conduct a proceeding for the refunding of the indebtedness of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 4 of the City of South Gate and to transact any and all business, adopt any or all Resolu- tions or orders necessary or convenient to the Refunding d'the in- debtedness of said District. Respectfully, (signed) V. A. Nation, Mayor, City of Lynwood. " The City Clerk thereupon testified that the foregoing No- tice had been served upon the Mayor and upon each rnernber of the City Council at least three hours prior to the time set for the said meet- ing as stated in said Notice, and that he had the written receipt of each member of the City Council so acknowledging receipt thereof. The Mayor thereupon declared that due and legal fiotice of this meeting had been p°operly given as provided by l.aw and that the meeting was now in order t~ proceed with the transaction of the busi- ness for which it had been called and as stated in the Notice cal~.ing the same. The City Clerk thereupon presented and read to the Council a communication dated April 27th, 1938 from William Rerrrpel, Counc~l- man of the City of South Gate in charge of Finance, together with its enclosure, to-wit: A copy of Resolution No. 752 of the City Council of the City of South Gate, California, entitled: "A RESOLU- TION ~`I'HE CI'T'Y OF SOUTH GATE DETFRI~TZNING THAT' THE PUBLIC INTEREST, COTdVENI,ENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE REFUNDING OF THE INDEBTEDNESS OF ACQUISITION AND IMPROVET~~ENT DISTRICT N0. 4 OF SAID CITY, AND RE- QU},STING THE CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF SU"r''ERVI SORS OF THE (~iJT1TY OF' LOS ANGELH;S ARiD OF THE CITY CO.JNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYN'rV00D TO SAID REFUNDING." Upon hearing the said communication and its said enclosure read it was regularly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the said cornrnunication and its said enclosure be received and placed on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk thereupon presented and read to the Council resolution No. 1103 of the City Councilof the City of Lynwood, en- titled: "RESOLUTIOII OF THE CI'1'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DETI~,RTJiINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE REFUIJDNG OF TTiE INDEBTEDNESS OF ACQUISITION AND IMP.ROVEI,IiENT DISTRICT TAO. 4 OF THE CITY OF SOU'T'H GATE, AND CON- SFArTI?~?CT TO THE REFUTTDZNG CF SAID II`1Dr'BTEDNESS AND THE LEVYING OF AN ASSESSI"LENT THEREFOR. " 24~~ Councilman Lake thereupon introduced and moved the adoption of said Resolution No. 1103. The said motion was seconded by Council- man Boster and on roll call the said motion was carried and the said Resolution was accordingly adopted by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen 3oster, Lake, Meyer and Nation. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Snyder. The Mayor thereupon declared the said Resolution duly adopter No further business appearing to be transacted, it wa.s duly moved by Councilman Boster and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the meeting adjourn.
