SPECIAL ,~~EETING IvIA.Y 5TH, 1935
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a Special
session, at the City Hall, in the CouncilCha.mber, 11331 Plaza. Street,
on above date, beginning a t 1:45 P.Ir1.
P~Jlayor Nation in the chair.
Councilmen Lake, BostFr, P~leyer and Nation ansv.~ered the roll
call.
Councilman Snyder vaas absent.
The IUlayor directed the City Clerk to read the ca.l_1 for this
meeting, which said Clerk broceeded to do and which. said call was
in the following words and figures, to-wit:

Dear Councilmen:
You are hereby notified to attend a special meeting of the
City Council of the City of Lynwood, to be held in the Council Cham-
ber of the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on Inlay 5th, 1938, at 1:45
F. M., for the purpose of authorizing the City Treasurer of the City
of L,ynv,7ood to cancel certain coupons of Acquisition and Improvement
District No. 24, which coupons are assets of the City of Lynwood.
`phis is required by the Special Gas Tax Corrunittee of Los Angeles county
before they will purchase thirty-tvcTo bonds of said District.

The City Clerk thereupon testified that the foregoing No-
tice had been served upon the I~hayor and upon each member of the City
Council a.t least three hours prior to the time set for tI^.e said meet-
ing as stated in said notice, and that he had the written receipt of
each member of the City Council so acknowledging receipt thereof.
The IJi~9yor thereupon declared that due and legal Notice of
this meeting had been properly given as r~rovid.ed by law a.nd that
the meeting was now in or der to proceed with the transaction of the
business for which it had been called and as stated in the Notice
calling the same.
City Treasurer Reed a.dd.ressed the Council on the matter
explaining why action is necessary in connection with said matter.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Buster and seconded
by Cou?~cilman i':~eyer that the City Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and instructed to cancel all the coupons held a_s assets
ofthe City of Lynvaood pertaining to bonds numbered as: 47, 48, 49,
50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68

69, 70, 71, 72, 7~5, 74, 75, '77, 78, 7., and 88 of Acquisition and Itn-
provernent District No. 24.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Lake, P~~leyer, foster and Rration.
J\TOes : Nine.
Absent : Councilman Snyder.
No furtherblzsiness appearing to be transacted in connection
with said matter, it was duly moved by Councilman Bos'cer a.nd seconded
by-Councilman Lake that the meeting adjourn. All members of the Coun-
cil ?resent voting aye, the I~:~Tayor declared- the motion duly carried.
