The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in ad,jaurned regular session in the Council cha;nbers of the C,it,y Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date at 2 P.Ti. In the absence of the Pulayor, the meeting was called to or- der by the City Clerk, and upon roll call showed the following present: Councilmen Lake, Meyer and Snyder. Absent: Councilmen Nation and Boster. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Council- man ~u%eyer that Councilman Lake act as temt~orary Chairman and Mayor fro tern for this meeting. All members of the Council x~resent voting a,ye, the City Clerk declared the motion duly carried and it ryas so ordered. Thereupon Councilman Lake took the chair. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Council- rnan Paleyer that the minutes of the previous regular meeting of" Tt~ay I`7th, 1938, be a.pr~roved as written. All members of the Council present voting a,ye, the T••~ayor declared the motion duly carried. The hour of 2 P.r~T. having arrived, said time being the hour fixed for continuing the hearing in connection v~~ith the ~ro- _posed reassessment for the refund'ng of the indebtedness of•Acquisi= tion and Improvemer~, District Ho. 8 of the City of Lynwood. The Majror inquired of the City Clerk whether or pat a.ny r~rritten objections had been filed, and the City Clerk stated that none had been filed. Thereupon the Ts~Iayor pro tem inquired whether or pat there was any one :present who wished to object to said reassessment, but there way no response. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman ..~eyer that the hearing• be c~~ntinued until June 7th, 1938, at 8 P.t~rT. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered. The hour of 2 P.t!. having arrived, said time-being the hour fixed for continuing the hearing in connection with the pro- posed reassessment for the refunding of the indebtedness ^f Acqui- sition and Improvement District No: 25 of the City of Lynwood. The T~fa,yor inquired of the City Clerk whether or not any written ob,jectirn had been filed, and the City Clerk stated that none had been filed. Thereupon the Mayor pro tem inquired whether or pat there was any onE present v~rho vrished to object to said reassessment, but there wa.s no response. Thereupon it vaas moved by Councilman Meyer and seconded by Councilman Snyder that the hearing be cantinued until June 7th, 1938, at 8 P.P~I. All members of the Council present vat-i.ng• aye, the Pdrayor declared the motion duly carried and itwas so ordered. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen rJieyer, Snyder and Lake. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Nation and Boster. It was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Council- man Meyer that the City Treasurer be authorized to issue checks to City Employees on June 7th, 1038, to be a~~proved at the meeting on said date. Roll Call: Ayes : Councilmen Lake, Snyder and P~Jleyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Nation and Boster. City Treasurer Reed addressed the Council to the effect that Mr. Bradberry of Bror~Tn-Crummer Company has requested an Ex- tensian of time to select bonds in A. & I. District No. 19. There- upon it was moved by Councilman T~rleyer and seconded by Councilman Snyder that said time be extended to and to include June 7th, 1938. Roll Call: Ayes; Councilmen Lake, Snyder and Mew. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Nation and Boster. Therefor_~, it was moved ~.y Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the Building Inspector be authorized to issue permit to build the tabernacle Ulith- out the wooden ~aanels, and the panels when constructed to be .,uilt acecrding to specifications agreed upon by the City a.nd said.
