ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 1938 -- The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned regular session in the Couneil,Chamber of the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street on above date at 1:00 P. M. Mayor Nation in the chair. Councilmen Lake, Meyer and Nation answered the roll call. Councilmen Boater and Snyder were absent. A communication was received from Mr. Art Hall, quoting the following price on a New Ford V8 Fordor Sedan, 85 Horsepower. Ford Sedan 85 H.P. 912.80 6-Ply Tires 15.13 Seat Covers 25.00 952.93 Leas allowance on Trade-in 1936 Ford V8 Sedan 310.00 X642.93 also stating that he is willing to carry the balance of X642.93 until January 1, 1939, at the rate of six per cent interest per annum if we so desire. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the Chief of Police be instructed to purchase said ear from Art Hall at the price submitted by him in his communication at this time. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Lake, Meyer and Nation. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Boater and Snyder. It was moved by Councilman Meyer and seconded by Councilman Lake that the City of Lynwood advertise for bids on gasoline to be used by the City for the year 1938-39. All members present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. The hour of l P. M. having arrived, said hour being the time fixed for continuing the hearing in connection with the proposed re- assessm~nt in refunding the indebtedness of Acquisition and Improve- meet District No. 8 of the City of Lynwood. The Mayor inquired of the audience whether or not there was any one present who wished to protest to said reassessment, but there was no response. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor de- clared the motion duly carried. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the meeting adjourn to June 21st, 1938, at ?:30 P.M.
