A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY 2023-2024 PROPOSED MAXIMUM
PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS
Whereas, Per Iowa Code Section 384.15A, the City Council of the City of Tiffin has
considered the attached FY 2023-2024 proposed maximum property tax dollars for the
affected levy total, and;
Whereas, A notice concerning the proposed maximum property tax dollars was
published as required and posted on the City's website and/or social media accounts as
applicable, and;
Whereas, A public hearing concerning the proposed maximum property tax dollars for
affected levy total was held during the Regular City Council Meeting on February 21,
2023, at 7:00 p.m.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa that the
maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for FY 2023-2024 shall not
exceed $2,583,605.
On the 21st day of February, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE FY 2023-2024 PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX
DOLLARS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Orris.
Ayes: Olney, Orris, Schnedler, Havens.
Nays: None.
Absent: Limkemann.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-014, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
FY 2022-2023 PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPERTY TAX DOLLARS to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 21st day of February, 2023.
