A RESOLUTION SETTING THE OF DATE MARCH 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA
Whereas, The City recognizes a request from the Cahow, Navada Trust and Honey
Lane Development LLC, to annex a certain property into the city limits of Tiffin, Iowa,
and
Whereas, the location map, located at 3287 Ireland Avenue NW, Tiffin, is attached to
this resolution; and,
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of the
annexation on a 3-0 vote at its February 15, 2023 meeting.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
date of public hearing for March 21, 2023, to discuss the annexation of the property
located at 3287 Ireland Avenue NW, Tiffin.
On the 21st day of February, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-015, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made
a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Olney.
Ayes: Orris, Schnedler, Havens, Olney.
Nays: None.
Absent: Limkemann.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-015, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE
OF MARCH 21, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA to be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 21st day of February, 2023.
