HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1938-09-22 - CC~~_6 ADJOURNED REGULAR IuIEETING SEPTEMBER 22ND _ 1938 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an ad- ~journed regular session, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, on above date, at 2 P.P~~. Mayor Nation in the chair. Councilmen Lake, Meyer and Nation answered the roll call. Councilmen Bolter and Snyder were absent. The hour of 2 P.i4Z. having arrived, said time being the hour fixed for continuance of the hearing in connection with protests or objections to the proposed reassessment in the matter of refunding the indebtedness of Acquisition and Improvement Dis- trict No. 15 of the City of Lynwood. The Mayor inquired of the City Clerk whether or not any written objections or protests had been filed. The Clerk stated that none had been filed. There was no one present to submit any oral or written objections or protests. Therefore, it was duly moved by Councilman Meyer and seconded by Councilman Lake that said hearing in connection with said matter be continued to September 29th, 1938, at 2 P.R:i. A11 members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered. A demand in the principal sum of X1.50 in favor of G. Pincher for refund of water deposit was presented. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that said de- mand be allowed and warrant be drawn on the City Treasurer for said amount. Ro11 Call: Ayes: Councilmen Lake, Meyer and Nation. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Bolter and Snyder. A communication was received from M. VP. Overton, 5929 S. Wal 1 Street, L. A. requesting permission to sell a sales yard consisting of buying and selling gas station equipment. After due consideration, it was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Councilman Meyer that said application be rejected. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered. It was moved by Councilman Lake and seconded by Council- man Meyer that the meeting adjourn to September 29th, 1938, at 2 P. M.
