A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO
THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA, LOCATED AT 3287 IRELAND AVENUE NW
Whereas, the owner of the property located at 3287 Ireland Avenue NW has requested
and submitted an application for voluntary annexation to the City of Tiffin, and;
Whereas, the total property to be annexed as legally described below and included in
the attached Exhibit A,
SE 1/4 of the NW % of Section 33, Township 80 North, Range 7 West of the Fifth PM in Johnson
County, Iowa except that portion dedicated to the State of Iowa for Right -of -Way.
Said Annexation Parcel contains 34.91 Acres, and is subject to easements and restrictions of
record.
Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Tiffin that said property be annexed to the
City at this time.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
the annexation request of the property referred to herein and shown on the attached
Exhibit shall hereafter become a part of the City of Tiffin, Iowa.
Be it further resolved that the City Administrator or City Clerk is hereby directed to file
the appropriate documentation with the City Development Board in order to proceed
with the finalization of this annexation.
On the 21st day of March, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-019, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA, LOCATED AT 3287 IRELAND AVENUE NW and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler.
Ayes: Olney, Schnedler, Havens, Orris.
Nays: None.
Absent: Limkemann.
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-019, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA, LOCATED
AT 3287 IRELAND AVENUE NW to be adopted and signified his approval of the same
by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 21st day of March, 2023.
