RESOLUTION - APPROVING DEDICATION BY RIDER" MUNICIPAL OPEN
SPACE TRUST FUND"
WHEREAS, the Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret will be assessing a
dedicated Tax and allocating money in the budget appropriations for the acquisition,
preservation and improvements of open space, recreation lands and parklands as per
Referendum approved by the votes November 7, 2000, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the Borough Council to dedicate these
funds for those purposes, and account for such funds in a Trust Fund on the Municipal
Finance records, and
WHEREAS. it is necessary to petition the approval of, the Director of the Division of
Local Government Services to include these funds and allow these funds to be
accounted as a "Dedication by Rider" in accordance with NJ.SA. 40:12-15.1 et seq.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Borough Council of the Borough of
Carteret that the Director of the aforementioned dedicated tax and funds accrued
pursuant to the Open Space Tax and Trust Fund approved by the voters by
Referendum and adopted by Ordinance 99-984 as a "Dedication by Rider" in
accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:12-15.1 et seq. and that these funds be placed in a Trust
Fund and be expended for such purposes as heretofore stated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that two (2) certified copies of this resolution be filed
with the Director of the Division of Local Government Services
Adopted this 7th day of December
2000 and certified as a true copy
of the original on December 8, 2000.
