Home My Public Portal AboutOrd. 219 - Extending Corporate Limites of McCall ORDINANCE NO . a / AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF McCALL ONE FOURTH OF A MILE OVER THE WATERS OF BIG PAYETTE LAKE ; DESCRIBING THE ANNEXED AREA ; AN]) PROVIDING FOR THE FILING OF A DULY CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE WITH THE RECORDER OF VALLEY COUNTY , IDAHO . WHEREAS , the Village of McCall is situated on Big Payette Lake , a navigable lake ,. and the corporate limits of said Village extend to the shore line of said lake ; and WHEREAS , Section 50 - 1149 , Idaho Coder. Provides that a village so situated , has the power by ordinance to fix , de - termine or extend the corporate boundaries or limits thereof over the waters of such lake for a distance of one fourth of a mile from the low water mark of such navigable lake ; and WHEREAS , the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall has determined and does hereby determine , that it is necessary and for the best interests of said village and the inhabitants thereof , that the corporate limits of the Village be so fixed , determined and extenced . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAI*MAN AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF McCALL , IDAHO Section 1 . That the corporate limits of the Village of McCall , Idaho , are hereby extenaed over the waters of Big Payette Lake in Valley County , Idaho , a distance of one fourth of a mile from the low water mark of said lake , from the points where the corporate limits of said Village now intersect with said low water mark , which area is more particularly described as follows : Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 8 of the Shellworth Park Suadivision , thence N d9 ° lii ' E to the low water mark of said Big Payette Lake ; thence N 145 ° E a distance of one quarter of a mile over tie waters of said lake ; thence over the waters of said lake in an easterly and northerly direction ors fourth of a mile from and parallel to the low water mark of said lake to a point , which point is situated on the northerly boundary line of Section 3 , Twp . 18 N , Range 3 , East Boise Meridian , a distance of one fourth of a mile over the waters of said lake from a point , which point is at the intersection of the said north boundary line of said section 3 with the low water mark of said lake ; thence over the waters of said lake one fourth of a mile to said point where the said north boundary line of said section 3 intersects tae low water mark of said lake . Section 2 . That it shall be the duty of the Clerk of the Village of McCall , upon the taking effect of this ordinance , to file with the Co ty Recorder of Valley County , Idaho , a copy of this ordinance duly certified as to the correctness thereof , der the corporate seal of the Village of McCall . Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its approval , passage and publication , as provided by law . PASSED AND APPROV P this /Ice day of August , 1961 .
