ORDINANCE NO. 249
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-4-5 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
OF McCALL CONCERNING IMPOUNDING OF UNLICENSED DOGS ;
ESTABLISHING AN IMPOUNDING FEE AND ESTABLISHING A DAILY
FEE FOR BOARD AND CARE OF SUCH DOGS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF McCALL, IDAHO AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. That Section 5-4-5 of the Village Code of
McCall, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
54-5 : UNLICENSED DOG - IMPOUNDING: All dogs not li-
censed and collared as herein provided are hereby declared to
be public nuisances , and it is the. duty of the Pound Master
or other suitable person by him appointed, to take up and
impound any dog not licensed and collared as in this Chapter
provided. Every dog so seized shall be retained in the pound
for a period of forty-eight (48) hours , the owner or keeper
of such dog may redeem the same by procuring a license as in
this Chapter provided, and paying in addition thereto a fee
to the Pound Master of two ($2.00) dollars as an impounding
fee together with the sum of one ($1.00) dollar per day for
the board and care of such dog, which such fees shall be
paid by the Pound Master to the Treasurer.
