JOINT SESSION
BAL HARBOUR VILLAGE
CITY OF NORTH MIAMI
FEBRUARY 16, 1994
The joint session of the Village Council of Bal Harbour and
the City of North Miami Council was held on Wednesday, February 16,
1994, in the Council Chamber of the Town of Bay Harbor Islands.
The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. by Mayor Colodney.
Those present were:

Councilman James E. Boggess
Councilman Sol M. Taplin
Carole Sherouse Morris, Village manager
Jeanette Horton, Village Clerk
Sam Poole, Attorney
City of North Miami
Mayor Mike Colodney
Councilwomen Jeanette Carr
Councilman David Caserta
Councilman Howard Premer
Larry Casey, City Manager
David Wolpin, Attorney
Mayor Colodney explained this is a joint meeting of the Village
Council of Bal Harbour an4 the Council of the City of North Miami,
pursuant to State statutory provisions.
Mr. Poole stated that this session is being held to try and discuss
the differences between the two municipalities and see if they can
come to some conclusion prior to initiating litigation. He further
explained the court reporter is present for Bal Harbour's purposes,
and that the issues discussed at this meeting would not be used in
court.
After much discussion Councilman Boggess request a chronological
presentation of what has transpired for the review by all parties.
He further suggested then hold another joint session to continue
discussion.
It was the consensus of both the Bal Harbour Village Council and
the City of North Miami Council to schedule a joint session to
continue discussion on the proposed litigation. The meeting was

scheduled for Wednesday, March 2nd at 4:00 p.m. to be held in the
Council Chamber at the Town of Bay Harbor. The meeting adjourned
at 5:45 p.m.
