HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 257 - Water Rate Changes VILLAGE OF McCALL ORDINANCE NO. 257 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO WATER RATES AND SCHEDULE OF CHARGES IN THE VILLAGE OF McCALL; AMENDING SEC- TION 8-1-43 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF McCALL, IDAHO: Section 1. That Section 8-1-43 of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 8-1-43: SCHEDULE OF CHARGES: The charges for water consumed shall be as per the following. schedules: Residential Schedule: 1. A. minimum charge of two dollars ($2.00) per month, which shall include three thousand (3,000) gallons per month. 2. Ten cents (10e) per thousand (1,000) gallons for each thousand (1,000) gallons over and above the first three thous- and (3,000) . Commercial Schedule: 1. A minimum charge of two dollars ($2.00) per month, which shall include three thousand (3,000) gallons' per month. 2. The next five thousand (5,000) gallons at fifty cents (50e) per thousand (1,000) gallons. 3. The next ten thousand (10,000) gallons at thirty. cents (30e) per thousand (1,000) gallons. 4. The next ten thousand (10,000) gallons at twenty cents (201) per thousand (1,000) gallons. 5. At the rate of ten cents (10T) for each thousand (1,000) gallons over and above twenty-eight thousand (28,000) gallons. Trailer Court Schedule: 1. Trailer Courts shall. be charged the commercial schedule as hereinabove set forth. Apartment Houses: 1. The minimum residential rate shall be charged for each occupied apartment with the overrun to be charged on the entire apartment house according to such residential schedule. Multi-Use Building: 1. The minimum comfnerci'al charge shall be made for each business or toilet and wash-room facility, whichever is lesser, with the overrun, if any, to be charged against the entire building according to the commercial schedule hereinabove set forth. Multi-Unit Residential: 1. Each unit shall be charged the minimum residential rate hereinabove set forth, including the schedule set forth for residential overrun. The residential schedule shall apply only as follows : 1. Where the water is used for domestic purposes only by the owner, tenant, or lessee, and 2. Where there is a tenant or lessee, the period of the tenancy or lease shall not be for less than thirty (30) days. Section 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the 1st day of September, 1966. Passed and approved this 1st day of August, 1966. ATTEST: Cha' n Clerk
