REGULAR MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD
, CITY OF LYNWOOD �
�. OCTOBER 17, 1991
The regular meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood,
California waa held on Thursday, October 17, 1991 at 5:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of the Lynwood City Hall, 11330 Bu11is Road,
Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by
the Brown Act.
CALL TO ORDER
, The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lewis at 5:09 p.m..
Roll call was taken by Gail Black, Interim Director of Human
Resources.. All Commissioners were in attendance with the exception
of Commissioner Gilpen who arrived at 5:20 p.m..
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
' Led by Commissioner Swift
APPROVAL OF MINUTES � _
The motion was made by Commissioner Litke and seconded by
Commissioner Swift to approve the minutes of the September 19, 1991
meeting as presented. All in favor. Motion carried.
. STUDIES AND REPORTS

Chairman Lewis welcomed Mr. Murga, Director of Public
Works/Engineering.
'. GUEST SPEAKER
� Mr. Murga discussed with the board various Engineering Capital i
Improvement Projects currently being done in the City. Mr. Murga
noted the areas and costs involved using a city map. Mr Murga
�' handed out to each commissioner a list of CIPs and approved
funding. It was further noted by Mr. Murga the need for other city i
improvements as the funds became available.

Ms. Black invited each Commissioner to purchase a 70th Anniversary ` I
Commemorative plate and also receive a t-shirt as an added bonus. I

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to conduct, the motion was made by
Commissioner Litke and seconded by Swift to adjourn at 5:58 p.m..
All in favor. Motion carried.`
The next regularly scheduled meeting is Thursday, November 21,

SUBJECT: ANNUAL COMMISSIONERS AND BOARD MEMBERS HOLIDAY DINNER
The Annual Commissioners and Board Members Holiday Dinner is set
for Wednesday, December 18, 1991, at 6:30 p.m., and wi11 be held
', at Bateman Hall. Please notify your commission and/or board
members in order for them to mark the date on their calendar.
Our office needs to have confirmations from commission and board
members by Monday, December 2, 199L in order to give a timely,
accurate count to the catering company. Therefore, when notifying
them, please ask for their reservation and let us know the count
by the above date.
Invitations will be mailed approximately during the week of
November 18.
