` COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes of the Meeting of
July 8, 1991
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
' City of Lynwood was held July 8, 1991, in the City Hall Council
. Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown
Act.)
Chairperson Mary Wright called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Members in attendance were Olympia Dudenhoeffer, Bill
Cunningham, Ann Fields, Ada McZeal, and Mary Wright. Staff
present were Jim Given, Ron Roberson and Pat Alvarez.
The minutes of the June 10, 1991 meeting were approved as
distributed.
SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. AWARD PRESENTATION TO LOCAL PRODUCERS
Plaques of recognition were presented by the Community
Access Advisory Board members to local producers, as a token of
appreciation for their efforts in putting together programs of
interest to the local community.
The following producers received plaques:
o Lorna Hawkins, for "Drive by Agony"
o Yolanda Washington, for "Almost There"
o Don Morris, for "Ringside"
o Isadore Hall, for "Tomorrow's Future Today"
o Ron Roberson, for "Faces and Places"
. o Perry Brents, for "Lil Fellas"
o Saul E. Lankster, for "The Saul E.L. Show"
After the award presentation, Ron Roberson said a few farewell
words and thanked the board members and the staff for allowing
him to work with them. He said that working for the local cable
company and for the city of Lynwood helped him obtain more
experience in broadcasting and producing shows. He announced
. that he has accepted a job offer with NBC - Channel 4, doina �.
-` "�`""numan interest stories from throughout the west coast {Modesto to �`
San Diego). His last day with the city of Lynwood and the local
cable company is July 31st.
It was also announced that applications were being accepted for
the position that Ron Roberson currently holds.

B. TOPICS FOR UPCOMING LYNWOOD SHOWCASES
As per previous discussion with the board members, it was
' decided to use materials on the shelf for the next two showcases,
as staff has not had any new segments due to having been working
on the "All America City Award" Program.
� C. LII BUDGET
A copy of the LII Budget was distributed to the board
members. LII Budget will be discussed at the next regular
meeting.
PUBLIC ORALS
- Jim Given announced that the next goal for the board will
be to have a competition program for local producers.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:35
p.m.
