COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes for the Meeting of
May 13, 1991
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
City of Lynwood was held May 13, 1991, in the City Hall Council
Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown
Act.)
Chairperson Mary Wright called the meeting to order at 5:38 p.m.
Members in attendance were Olympia Dudenhoeffer, Bill Cunningham,
Ada McZeal, and Mary Wright. Ann Fields had an excused absence.
Staff present were Ron Roberson and Pat Alvarez.
The minutes of the April 15, 1991 meeting were approved as
distributed.
SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. TOPICS FOR UPCOMING LYNWOOD SAOWCASES
Ron Roberson informed board members that staff is currently
working on the All America City Award Project. As a result,
showcase productions will be put on hold and reruns will be
shown. Showcase viewings for board members will also be
postponed until mid-June, or until further notice.
Ron also mentioned that he would prepare showcase �20 and
show it. He will let board members know when it will be ready
for viewing.
B. LIBRARY CONTACT
Ron Roberson met with new Lynwood Librarian Norma tionterro.
She has authorized Ron to videotape a segment on the library in
order to cover remodeling of the library, any summer programs
they might have, the Literacy Program, etc. He will work on this
segment when he is finished with the All America City Award
Project.
Ron also mentioned that he would like to give a copy of each
ahowcase video pioduction to Councilmembers, Recreation
Department, and to the Library.
C. BOARD INTERVIEWS FOR SHOWCASE
Board members introduced themselves and Chairperson Mary
Wright was interviewed on behalf of the Cable Access Advisory
Board for the Lynwood Showcase. She talked about the creation of
the board, its goals, programs, and projects. ,

pUBLIC ORALS -
- Mary Wright announced Special Meeting of Commissioners on
May 15, 1991 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers.
- Ada McZeal mentioned that according to documents, both the
city and the school district should have their own video
equipment.
- Mary Wright brought up the Cable Awards Program. She
mentioned that the project has been on hold and suggested
starting workinq on it after the All America Award Project is
done. Ron will discuss this issue at the next meeting.
- Olympia Dudenhoeffer suggested doing a segment on the
opening of the new Childrens/Labor/Delivery wing at St. Francis
Medical Center.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:22
p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for June l0, 1991.
