ADJOURNMENT , I z� <`, �.. • • COMMITNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD Minutes for the Meeting of , March 11, 1991 The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the City of Lynwood was held March 11, 1991 in the City Hall Council Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown ACt.) Chairperson Mary Wright called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.• Members in attendance were Rev. C.C. Coleman, Bill Cunningham,: Ann Fields, Ada McZeal, and Mary Wright. Staff present were Ron Roberson, Roy Bufanda and Pat Alvarez. The minutes of the February 11, 1991 were approved as distributed. SCHEDULED MATTERS A. SUMM2iRY OF SHOWCASES (Suqgestions for Showcases �/15, 16, and 17) SHOWCASE l�15 (TO be shown March 13th) - Domino's Pizza Tour - - Black History Weekend Highlights - Natatorium Dedication Ceremony *.Health Tip , . � SHOWCASE #16 (To be shown March 27) - - Segment on Women's Commission, hosted by Lorna Hawkins - Latino Basketball - Folklorico Dance Group - Teen Center Anniversary * Commercial: A moment in Lynwood Aistory SHOWCASE ;�17 (To,be shown April 10)' - Karate Club - Senior Dance - Interview with Miss Lynwood - Easter Egg Hunt/Petting Zoo 8. PUSLIC ORAL3 - It was mentioned that all preparations are ready for the live call-in Cable Program "Sports, An Alternative to Drugs and Gangs", which will be shown March 14. - Mary Wright inquired whether the County had given permission to videotape trie local library for a Showcase segment, staff will look into it. - Staff will also start working on the Lynwood Cable Awards Program. - Ann Fields received a call from a group of students from Northridge University who want to volunteer their services as tutors at the local library. - Mary Wright suggested to place•a calendar of events (in a TV Guide format) in the local newspaper as a way to promote Lynwood-produced shows. - After meeting at 5:00 p.m. on March 11 on a trial basis, all Board Members decided to go back to original meeting time: 5:30 p.m. - Board Member C.C. Coleman announced that he was resigning from the Board due to him being transferred to First Institutional Baptist Church, 501 Stiner, in San Francisco, California. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for April 15th, 1991. " 2 �
