COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes for the Meetinq of
January 14, 1991
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
City of Lynwood was held January 14, 1991 in the City Hall
Council Chambers. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by
the Brown Act.) �
Chairperson Mary Wright called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m•.
Members in attendance were Mary Wright, Ann Fields, and Bill
Cunningham. Rev. C.C. Coleman and Ada McZeal had excused
absences. ,Staff present were Perry Brents, Roy Bufanda and Pat
Alvarez.
The minutes of the December 10, 1990 were approved with one
correction in Section C under Scheduled Matters, "Continental
. Cable Systems". Third paragraph to be deleted (reception
problem.)
SCHEDULED MATTERS
A. Perry Brents presented Showcase �12 Editmaster, which
included the following topics: '

, Perry Brents also discussed the following items:

-Starting February, the Lynwood Showcase will have a general
. host (ROn Roberson).
-Other suggestions for future showcases: Library segment,
Graffitti Program, Functions of Code Enforcement Department
(versus functions of the Police Department), City's 70th
Anniversary e,vents - by the City and by the Chamber of Commerce.
-Lynwood Showcases will try to cover a segment on each of
the following subjects: Government, Businesses, Community, and
Family oriented segments.
-Staff ineets every first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
at the Community Center to review the previous showcase, and to
, preview the next showcase. �
-Lynwood Showcase is aired on (COmmunity) Channel 28 on
Monday at 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and Friday at 8:30
p.m.
- -There will be a new show in February: "Lynwood Special
Edition", which will be aired on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. This
show will focus on one topic, event, or personality.
-Address to Lynwood's Studio: 3560 Martin Luther King Jr.
B1vd., Lynwood. Telephone number is 637-7552. Eventually, staff
will start meeting at the Studio for their meetings of the first
Saturday of the month.
-John Clodfelter, from Continental Cable Systems did not
attend today's meeting due to a workshop he is attending.
-Lynwood's programming (schedule) is aired on (Community)
� Channel 28 during the daytime every half hour for five minutes.
-There were five shows aired on (Community) Channel 28
during the month of December: Showcases #9, l0, 11, 12 and
, Lynwood Christmas Parade Special.
PUBLSC ORALS
-Ann Fields commented about the sound quality of the Lynwood
Theme (opening music to the Showcase). Perry Brents said that
before the Showcase was aired, the problem was eliminated.
-Mary Wright reminded board members that the next showcase
- viewing day is January 16th at 8:15 a.m.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:07
p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for February il, 1991.
