Commissioner Hgaalii, Lavis and Trigo answered the roll call. Chairperson Boykin was excused from the meecin�. Gommiseioner C. �reen, S. Green, Hardin, Ramirez, SanCers, Singlaton, Welle and Zavala were not in attendance. Jim Given, kacraation Superintendent certiiied the posting of tha agenda by the City Glerk. I NFORM�Ii' 1 ON I TEMS ; Fresentation of Scholarships Evangela Williams and Joe Hraujo were the 'iouth Gommission � Scholarship recipients. Their awards were presantad to Chem by ' Vice Ghairperson Banks. Pro�ram Reports I Leo Rodriguez, Facility & Frogram Supervisor - Caen Center, briefly discussed and distributed the monthly laen Center report. Jim Given discussed the July µ activities and All American City Banquet. He also stated certificates for 'iouth Gommissioners for their support and participation during the All American Gity Gompetition will be mailed to them. Commissioner C. Grean, 5. Graen, Ramirez and Wells arriv.9d a+. b:20 p.m. Vice Chairperson 8anks stated the commission reached a quorum at 6:25 p.m. � � 0 � �-' � � Youth Gouncil Leo Rodriguaz, Facility & Program Supervisr�r - Tean Center, discussed the function of the vouth Gouncil and their first meeting. It was moved by Commissioner I'rigo, earonded by Gommissioner Lavis, with all in agreement to approve the minutes or June 16, 15y1. Youth Summit Uiana J. Escaiante,� kecreation h Farks, reporred let,ters have gona out, and a fuli report will be given at tne next meeting. Pool Party lt was moved by i:ommissioner Trigo, eeconded by Commicsi�ner 5. Green, with all in favor to have the pool parCy on Saturday, August iv, 1991. Gommissioner Agaalii, C. Green, S. Green and Trigo volunteered ior the sub-committee to plan this function. Commissioner t�rals Commissioner Trigo etated meetings should start on time. Vice Chairperson Banks congratulated the routh Gommxssion Scholarship winners, and reiterated the importance of being prompt to the meetings and notiiying starr ir unable to attend. � . Ad7ournmen*.
