A \\\\\\\��\\ FAX (508 ) 896 - 8089 COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE Held a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, June 12 , 2019 at 4 :45 p .m . at The Brewster Town Office Building, 2198 Main Street, Brewster, MA MEETING MINUTES FOR JUNE 12 , 2019 Present : Chair Paul Ruchinskas , Vice - Chair Faythe Ellis , Elizabeth Taylor, Roland Bassett, Diane Pansire , Peggy Jablonski , and Sharon Marotti Absent : Barbara Burgo Also Present : George Boyd Chair Paul Ruchinskas called the meeting to order at 4 : 45 pm . Recording or Taping Notification : As required by the Open Meeting Law we are informing you that the Town 1011 be videotaping and/or audio taping this public meeting. In addition, if anyone else intends to either video or audio tape this meeting they are required to inform the chair. " We request that all cell phones be turned off or to vibrate. 1 . Discussion and possible vote on Brewster Historical Commission ' s request for $ 15 ,400 from FY 2020 ' s administrative funds . George Boyd the Chairman of the Brewster Historical Commission was present to discuss their funding request of $ 15 ,400 . He explained that they have had an ongoing project of trying to document all the historical homes/structures in Brewster . There have been about 300 structures identified . They are trying to do what is called a "Form B " which is an analysis on the architecture and history of the structure . When the Historical Commission has completed the form it is then sent to the State to be included in the MA Historical Commission ' s database . About 130 structures have the analysis completed at this point. It costs $220 per form . The funding request is to cover the cost of completing analyses for another 70 structures . MOTION to approve the Brewster Historical Commission ' s request for $ 15 ,400 from FY20 Administrative Funds . MOVED by Rollie Bassett. Seconded by Sharon Marotti , VOTE : 7-0-0 Faythe agreed to serve as liaison for this project. 1 Community Preservation Committee Minutes : June 12, 2019 2 . Discussion and possible vote on request for $2, 500 from FY 2020 ' s administrative funds for general CPC historic preservation consulting . ) MOTION to approve the funding request of $2 ,500 for FY20 ' s administrative funds for general CPC historic preservation consulting. MOVED by Rollie Bassett. Seconded by Diane Pansire, VOTE : 7 -0- 0 13 . Review of current funding application and possible vote on any suggested changes . The Committee went through the 2018 CPC application and discussed which areas needed adjustments for the new fiscal year . 4 . Review and discussion of updated project list . Elizabeth provided all committee members with an updated project list that will be going onto the website . There were some minor errors that she will be correcting before it officially goes onto the website . 5 . Committee vacancy and membership renewals . There is currently a vacancy on the CPC as Bill Klein resigned his position last month . The Chair also informed those members whose terms will be expiring at the end of this month and reminded those who plan to remain on CPC to renew . 6 . Report on meeting with Peter Lombardi, Town Administrator . The Chair explained that the CPC Officers had a meeting with the new Town Administrator, Peter Lombardi , on Monday to go through the history of CPC and some of the challenges they have encountered (such as the legal bills) . They also discussed the dog park project which will be going out to bid again soon and will be coming back to CPC for funds that may be different than the amount they requested before . Another discussion they had was the potential need for staff assistance to the CPC and Mr . Lombardi was very open to the idea. The officers also reviewed with the Town Administrator what funding requests they expect to receive this round . 7 . Approval of minutes of May 22 , 2019 meeting . MOTION to approve the minutes of the May 22 , 2019 meeting with the discussed revisions . MOVED by Rollie Bassett. Seconded by Diane Pansire, VOTE : 6 -04 I8 . Announcements , None . 9 . The next meeting of the CPC is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at 4 : 45 PM . MOTION to Adjourn at 5 : 24 PM. MOVED by Sharon Marotti. Seconded by Diane Pansire.
