ADJOURNMENT - TO NEBT REGULAR MEETINCi ON DECEMBER 14, 1992 , ( i f Q � • • v , COMMUNITY ACCESS ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OCTOBER 12, 1992 The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the City of Lynwood was held October 12, 1992 in the City Hall Conference Room. (The Agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act.) Staff Person Johonna Jacobs-Howard called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. Members in attendance were Bill Cunningham, Ann A. Fields, and Ethel Pacheco. Staff present were Johonna Jacobs-Howard, Don Morris, and Silvia Lara. The minutes of the June 8, 1992, meeting were approved as distributed. Election for new officers of the Lynwood Community Access Advisory Board Meeting will take place at the regular scheduled meeting of November 9, 1992 meeting. At the request of the Board, Ms. Howard stated that she would inquire in regards to Ms. Dudenhoeffer's health and report to the commissioners during the meeting of November 9 1992. City Clerk Andrea Hooper swore in the newly elected Community Access Advisory Board member Ethel Pacheco. I. SCHEDULED MATTERS A. REQUEST TO RESUME LYNWOOD SHOWCASE 30 MINUTE FORMAT Ms. Howard stated that the Lynwood Showcase format was originally 30 minutes, but that during the meeting of June 8, 1992 staff requested permission, to extend Lynwood Showcase to a one-hour format for a 3 month period. Mr. Cunningham thought it was a good idea to resume to the 30 minute format. Ms. Fields and Ms. Pacheco agreed to Mr. Cunningham's suggestion. SET DATE AND TIME OF LYNWOOD SHOWCASE # 42 Commissioners agreed to view showcase # 42 on Wednesday, October 28, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. in the Conference room. IZI COMMISSIONERS'/PUHLZC ORALS * Mr. Cunningham asked where the salaries for Cable Personnel were coming from. Ms. Howard explained '' to the commissioners the following: a) Don Morris � is paid by Recreation's budget b) Johonna is paid from Community Development's Budget c) Ron ' Roberson, along with the other cable hosts is being i paid from the LII budget. i * Ms. Fields feels that there should be a differential ' in fees paid per segment to those cable hosts that � perform more extensive responsibilities, such as ; editing segments and camera operations in addition to serving as on-camera reporters. This type of cable host should in fact be paid more per segment. She requested . that staff prepare a report ! distinguishing the duties and resposibilities of the i two types of cable hosts. There being no further business, the Community Access Advisory Board meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. i i
