CALL TO ORDER
The Council Workshop Meeting of October 29, 2001, was convened at 5:30 P.M. by Mayor
Tom Rackers.

The following Council Members were present for the workshop:
Present: Angle, Blaney, Jackson, Landwehr, Olsen, Viessman, and Vincent,
Absent: Nelson, Vogel, and Weber
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
The following items were discussed: (no official actions were taken)
1. Allen Pollock addressed the City Council regarding three issues:
✓ The Housing Authority's Urban Renewal Plan and the City's Comprehensive Plan
which call for development of the square block in its entirety as opposed to parcel -
by- parcel development.
✓ Alleged Sunshine Law violations.
✓ Sexual offenders living in Housing Authority facilities.
Mr. Pollock answered several questions related to all three items.
2. Skateboard Ordinance
Councilman Blaney explained her intent with the skateboard ordinance. She and City
Counselor Allen Garner answered several questions related to items in the ordinance. Ms.
Blaney, Councilman Landwehr and Mr. Garner will meet and draft a new ordinance.
3. City Priorities
Councilman Angle asked what City priorities were for 2002. The City Administrator stated
he had a list and offered to share that with the Council members.
4. Five Year Capital Development Plan
Councilman Angle asked what the status was of the 5 year capital development plan. The
City Administrator explained that he had asked the Assistant to the City Administrator to
update the plan this year.
5. 1993 Sidewalk Study
Councilman Angle asked what the status was of outstanding items in the 1993 Sidewalk
COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING OCTOBER 29, 2001 2
Study. Councilman Landwehr suggested that Mr. Brose go through the study and
determine what has been completed, what has not been completed and give an overall
analysis on the status of the study's findings.
