MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
FEBRUARY 10, 1992
The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board of the
City of Lynwood was held February 10, 1992 in the City Hall
Conference Room. (The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by
the Brown Act.)
Mary Wright called the meeting to order at 5:36 p.m. Members in
attendance were Bill Cunningham, Ann A. Fields, and Mary Wright.
Olympia Dudenhoeffer and Ada McZeal were absent.
Staff present were Johonna Jacobs-Howard, Don Morris, and Silvia
Lara.
The minutes of the January 13, 1992, meeting were approved with
the following corrections:
Under Section "D" (Topics for upcoming Lynwood Showcase
Programs); the suggested names of persons to be interviewed for
"A Moment in Lynwood History" should be Lucille Walker and son.
Also, under Section "C" (Lynwood Showcase Viewing Schedule), the
name should be Ann, not Anne Fields.
SCAEDULED MATTERS
A. RE-EMPLOYMENT OF RON ROBERSON
Johonna explained to the Board that Ron Roberson has been
hired to serve as a host on the Lynwood Showcase and to work
on an hourly basis to assist Don Morris with Cable
Production. '
B. LYNWOOD SHOWCASE PREVIEW VIEWING
Viewing for Showcase # 30 was scheduled for February 27,
1992 at 1:00 p.m., in the City Hall Conference Room.
Viewing for Showcase # 31 was scheduled for March 9, 1992,
at the next regularly scheduled Community Access Advisory
Board meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the City Hall Conference room.
The Community Access Advisory Board agreed to schedule
showcase viewing for the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30
p.m., in the City Hall Con£erence room.

C. LYNWOOD SHOWCASE VIEWING FOR # 29
The Community Access Advisory Board members viewed Showcase #
29, which covered the following topics: The 8th Annual Nun
Run, A Moment in Black History, the Marketplace Scholarship
Presentation, the cons�ruction progress of the Community
Center, the Martin Luther King Jr. Basketball Tournament, and
the St. Francis Hospital Health Fair entitled "Save Our
Kids".
E. TOPICS FOR UPCOMING LYNWOOD SHOWCASE PROGRAMS
- Fire Department
- LVN Program
- City Clerk's Department
- City Manager's Office
- Anti Graffiti
- Miss Lynwood
- Black History Musical Drama
- Ann Fields brought a name of a third person to be
interviewed for "A Moment in Lynwood Hi,story":
* Wilma Higgins who has lived 74 years in Lynwood,
her number is 638-5432.
F. PUBLIC ORALS
- Ann Fields mentioned of the possibility of having the
graphics which appear during showcase interviewing
smaller, and over to one side, instead of centering them.
This will increase the visibility of the interviewee.
' - Bill Cunningham mentioned that during the Showcase i
viewing he noticed that Donald Chae was speaking, but
there was no description of the Lynwood Marketplace.
- Mary Wright suggested to be consistent with the graphics �
used to announce commissions names and time of ineetings.
Mrs. Wright also suggested to add in their announcement
for commissions schedule, that if a person is interested �
in becoming a member of a commission to please contact the
City Clerk's Department.
There being no further business, the Community Access Advisory
Board meeting was adjourned at 6:46 p.m.
