May 2,2018- Minutes
A meeting of the Site Plan Review Committee was called to order at 10:00 a.m. in Skaket Meeting Room
at the Orleans Town Hall. Departments Present: George Meservey(Planning);Bob Canning(Health);
Greg Baker(Fire);Tom Evers(Building);John Jannell(Conservation)and Todd Bunzick(Water).
Absent: Frank Nichols(DPW).
FORMAL REVIEW: Town of Orleans, 195 End of Skaket Beach Road (Skaket Beach)
Ron Collins described a proposal for replacement of the administration and restroom facility at Skaket
Beach.
Comments:
Fire: During construction,demolition dust must be controlled. All demolition
safeguards must be followed.
Building: This is an allowed use as a municipal project. Zoning Board of Appeals review
and relief is required. Old King's Highway Historic District review and approval
is required. A demolition permit is required.
Water: There are no Water Department comments.
Health: Reserve area and connection to the sewer line must be shown on the site plan. A
canopy needs to be constructed over outdoor drinking fountains.
Conservation: There is an Order of Conditions with an appeal period
MOTION: On a motion by John Jannell,seconded by Tom Evers,the Committee voted to accept the
Formal Site Plan for Skaket Beach, dated March 7,2018.
VOTE: 6-0-0 The motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: April 18, 2018
MOTION: On a motion by Greg Baker,seconded by Todd Bunzick,the Committee voted to
approve the minutes of April 18,2018.
VOTE: 6-0-0 The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: On a motion by Robert Canning, seconded by Greg Baker,the Committee voted adjourn the
Site Plan Review Committee meeting at 10:15 a.m.
