OPENING CEREMONIES
'Phe City of Lynwood Youth Gommission met in a re�ular session at
the Teen Center, located at 11409 Birch Street on the above date
at 6:12 p.m.
Because neither the chairpersons or vice chairperon vere present,
Recreation Superintendent, Jim Given, called the meeting to
order.
Commissioners Agaalii, Airada, C. Green, S. Green, Hardin, Tri�o,
Wells answered roll ca.11.
Chairperson Boykin, Vice Chairperson Banks, Gommissioners
Gontreras, Perez, a.nd "Lavala did not answer roll call.
Superintendent Jim Given certified the posting oi the aQenda_
lt was moved by Gommissioner Agaalii and second by Commissioner
C. Green to approve the minutes of December 4, 1991. Motion
carried.
� INFORMATION 11'EMS
Program Reports
Diana Escalante, Recreation staf.f updated the Como�ission on
upcomin� events in the month of January. Youth Basketball
leagues will begin the 17. The Martin Luther Kin� Jr. Basketball
Tournament will be January 17 - 20. The Natatorium Grand Opening
will be on Saturday, January 25, 199L.
Leo kodriguez, Facility and Program Supervisor updated the
Commission on the last Youth Councit meeting.
Teen Center Christmas Party Evaluation
Leo Rodriguez reported that the Ghristmas party on December 20
w�s attended by 60+ youth. Everyone had a good time_
Anti-Graffiti Paint/Clean Up Day
Diana Escalante reported the next Anti-Graffiti Paint Out Day
will be on Saturday, February 15, 1992. The Recreation and Park
Department is currently working with the armory and ott�er
community organizations to volunteer on this da.y.

It vas moved by Commissioner Agaalii, and seconded by
Commissioner G. Green to adiourn to the next regularly scheduled
meeting of the Youth Commission on Wednesday January 22, 1992.
Motion carried.
