A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MAY 2, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO REZONE A PORTION OF 2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW (TIFFIN HEIGHTS WEST) FROM
R-1 B TO R-1 D, IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
Whereas, The City recognizes a request from GHS Development to rezone a portion of
2480 Highway 6 NW (Tiffin Heights West) from R-1 B (Single -Family, Medium Density)
to R-1 D (Single -Family, High Density) in Tiffin, Iowa, and,
Whereas, the rezoning is the result of a high pressure gas line that runs through the
development; and,
Whereas, the exhibit of the property is attached to this resolution; and,
Whereas, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning
on a 4-0 vote at its April 12, 2023, meeting.
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
date of public hearing for May 2, 2023, to discuss the rezoning of a portion of the
property located at 2480 Highway 6 NW.
On the 18th day of April, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-026, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF MAY 2, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE A
PORTION OF 2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW (TIFFIN HEIGHTS WEST) FROM R-1 B TO R-1 D,
IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Limkemann.
Ayes: Limkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Pro-
Tem Havens declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-026, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF MAY 2, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO REZONE A
PORTION OF 2480 HIGHWAY 6 NW (TIFFIN HEIGHTS WEST) FROM R-1 B TO R-1 D,
IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by
affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 18th day of April, 2023.
