A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, F'LORIDA, APPROVING
DEMOLITION DISCOUNT, INC. FOR THE DEMOLITION
OF PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 571 AND 599 HARBOR
DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") recently acquired 571 and 599
Harbor Drive (the "Properties") for additional park and open space within the Village as well as
other public purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Village sought bid proposals for demolition of existing structures on the
Properties (the "Services"); and
WHEREAS, Village staff has reviewed the submitted bids and has recommended
Demolition Discount, Inc. (the o'Vendor") as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the
Services, whose proposal is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" (the 'oProposal"); and
WHEREAS, after review and consideration, the Village Council desires to approve the
Vendor for the Services; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section L. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Approval. That the Village Council hereby approves the Vendor for the
Services in an amount not to exceed $24,900.
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute
an agreement or purchase order with the Vendor for the Services consistent with the Proposal
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" in an amount not to exceed $24,900, subject to the Village
Attomey's approval as to form, content and legal sufficiency.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 28th day of January, 2020.

ELECTRICAL PANELS, A/C UNITS, FURNITURE, ANYTHING OF VALUE ETC.
WE REQUIRE WATER CONNECTION FOR DUST CONTROL.
DEMOLISHED AREA TO BE LEFT IN A ROUGH GRADED CONDITION FREE
OF SUBSTANTIAL DEBRIS.
PRICE BASED ON SITE VISIT.
WE REQUIRE 50% DEPOSIT FOR INITIATION OF DEMOLITION.
WE WILL HANDLE ALL PERMITS FROM THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
THE VILLAGE IS TO PROVIDE WITH ALL SURVEYS THAT REQUIRES THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
