REDISTRICTING
Council reviewed the Redistricting guidelines and eleven options for reconfiguration of ward
boundaries. Option 2 was discussed and the Council requested that staff develop
alternatives to Option 2 which exclude the prison population for further consideration.
ANNEXATION
Council reviewed the larger areas and the reduced areas that the consultant examined in
the initial Annexation Study. It was the consensus of the Council that a resolution be
presented at the next Council meeting that designates all of the reduced areas for future
annexation by the City of Jefferson.
