SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 14L_1940 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Streit in a Special session, on. above date at 1:45 P.~1. Mayor Lake in the chair. Councilmen Nation, Christensen, D~Ieyer Snyder and Lake answer- ed the roll call. The City Clerk was in receipt of. Waiver of Notice of said meet- ing signed by all members of the Council, reading as follows: "We, the undersigned, members of.the City Council of the City of Lynwood do hereby consent to the holding of a meeting on , March 14, 1940, at 1:45 P.P.Q. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 1331 Plaza Street, for the purpose of. considering and taking necessary action in connection with a proposed Resolution offering to purchase certain property deeded to the State under the provisions of Section 3897-D and 3897.3 of the Political Code, said property being known. as the Oeller Estate in the Lugo Tract, and we hereby waive Notice of said meeting. We further consent to take action in connection with the proposed sale of real property in 0. Tower Tract to the Lynwood School District as proposed by Resolution No. 1221 of the City Council of the City of Lynwood, and we waive Notice of said meeting herewith'!. Thereupon RESOLUTION N0. 1226, entitled: "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD OFFERING TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY DEEDED TO THE STA~~E UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 3897-D and 3897.3 OF THE POLITICAL CODE", was read. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Snyder and seconded by Councilman Christensen that said Resolution No. 1226 be adopted. Roll Ca11: Ayes: Councilmen Nation, Christensen, Meyer, Snyder and Lake. Noes: None Absent:None A Resolution was received from the Board of Trustees of the, Lynwood School District to accept the offer of sale of 10 acres of real estate in the 0. Tower Tract as made by the City Council of the City of Lynwood by its Resolution No. 1221 for a consideration of X2,000.00 sub- ject to the liens. and assessments of Acquisition and Improvement Dis- trict No. 18. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Nation and seconded by Councilman Meyer that the '~ayor be authorized to commence an escrow for the sale of 10 acres of said Trait of land to the L~,~nwood School District for the price as above indicated and to sign all documents.necessar•y to complete said escrow. Ro11 Call: Ayes: Councilmen Nation, Christensen, Meyer, Snyder and Lake Noes: None It was moved by Councilman I~Teyer and seconded by Councilman Christensen that the meeting adjourn to March 19, 1940, at 7:30 P.M.
