There being: no objection, said matter was referred to tre Building Inspector tc investigate and if found acceptable that the License Collector be authorized to issue license there- for. Bennett reauesting that he be refunded in the amount of X36.75, on account of overpayment of water account on properties 10782 and 1^784 Barlowr Avenue since October 1936. A communication v~.a.s received from the Shoreline Planning Assoc- iation regarding proposed legislation ti~~hich they are interested in to pro- tect beaches. There being' na objection s-.id matter wra.s laid on the table for further study of tree Council as a wrTiale. A comr~urication u7a.s received fr~~m Gra~~~son Heat Control, Ltd., by Louis H. Decker, General T~.?onager, to the effect that they are construct- ing~ another addition to its plant on Lots frontinY on Beechv~tood Avenue, request, ng that the City take inunediate Gteps to extend neti~~ water mains on Beec'rwaod Avenue betz~~een State St. and the intersection of Fernwood and Ir~7~erial Highwray; also that a fire plug be placed an the corner of ~~5 State and Beechwood Avenue, vahich they feel are absolutely necessary in order to afford adequate fire protection to their slant. Councilman Zim- merman stated that he had talked with Engineer Bateman regarding this matter and he was advised that the work could be done for approximately ~3~00.00 if it is possible to tie it into the present S~'ork Projects Ad- ministration project, therefore, it wa.s moved by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Councilman I~TicMeekin that the City Council inetr-uct-:-the City Engineer to make application to the Z°J. F. A. for inclusion of said proposed water line and that the Council appropriate X3,500.00 for the completion of said work. A communication was received from City Treasurer Wilkinson to the effect that the suit filed against the City by one HoiRaard Claman for ~'. collection of funds of A. &_ I. District No. 23 has been adjudicated, and that another trial determined that another associate of Howard Claman has a legal interest in Claman's bonds of A. & I. District Nos. 17 and 23, therefore, he believes ;hat the judge might determine that Claman's former associate should be paid and that Tvir. Claman might be comr:elled to sell said bonds to liquidate said debt, therefore, requesting that he be authorized to offer P~1r. Claman 75~ an the dollar for his bonds of A. I. Districts P~TOS. 17 and r3, a_ggrega.t-n€~ ~1~,000.00. Triereupon it titras moved by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Councilman McMeekin that the City Treasurer be authorized to make Tvir. Report of the City Court showing activities of the City Court for month of March was received; as well as health resorts for t~vo weeks. There being no objection, said reports !F~ere ordered filed. . ORAL COTJi~JiUNICATICPdS: I~~~Irs. i~<cCone addressed the Go~?ncil on behalf of the Coordinating Council. regarding the proposed park on the ne~nT site on the east part of Lynwo:~d, suggesting that early steps be taken to furnish recreational facilities for t'r~e ~routh of the City. The following addressed the Coun- cil on the matter: Messrs Fouts, Bogue, Eddie Foster a.nd Hirt. Austin. After due consideration of the matter, the P~iayor appointed a committee consisting of the following to formulate plans and make recom- mendations to the Council. regarding the matter: Eddie Foster, 'Vrs. TuicCone, Crew ~;'a.ite, Tti~ir. Fouts, Ts~ir. Bogue, Rev, zf;. E. Spicer, Nirs. Haskell, i~~rs. Bert Dyer, Pairs Austin and T~ir. Free- man, together ~sith Councilmen Zimmerman and La_'~e. ~- PvZr. Ross Fouts, Superintendent of the Lynwood Elementary Schools addressed the Council regarding need of se~3~er facilities a.t the Roosevelt School, stating trat it has become necessary to dismiss school on account of the unsanitary condition caused by overflowing cesspools. ~~". C. Cla rk and Frank Tatam also addressed the Council on need of seurer facilities in their section of the City. There being no objection, the matter of se~raers for Tract 5632 wa.s referred to Engineer Bateman to ascertain whether or not a +4~. F. A. project can ^e •secured for installation of same in Tract No. 5632. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A communication tivas received from Robert A.
