PrI. IL~Iayor Prleyer in the chair. Councilmen Zimmerman, PrIcP.~eekin and Meyer answered the roll call. Councilmen Lake a.nd Christensen were absent. It was moved by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Councilman McP~ieekin that the City contract for a ~p15..00 ad with the Lyn~~rood Press "or their booster issue to help advertise the 20th Anniversary Birthday Celebration. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Zimmerman, ~rlcMeekin and Meyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Christensen. and Lake. It was moved by Councilman McMeekin and seconded by Councilman Zimmerman that the Ivlayor be authorized to offer complimentary tickets to the rodeo in connection with the celebration to be held in the City of Lynwood, to all Mayors in surrounding territory. All members of the Coun- cil present voting a.ye, the Mayor declared the motion carried. An application for permit for Public Fireworks Display in con- nection with the celebration to be displayed on July 4, 1941, to be spon- sored by She11 Oil Co., was received from the Fire Chief E. V'd. Lewis on behalf of Shell Oil Co. ; also bond in the amount of ~1, 000.00 in favor of the City of Lynwood, was. received, as well as Certificate of Insurance. Thereupon it was moved by,Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Councilman 1~icMeekin that said permit `be granted and that the T~1a~ror and Fire Chief be authorized to execute same for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood; also that the Bond be approved, as well as the certificate of insurance. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilman Zimmerman, McI4ieekin and Rlfeyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Christensen and Lake. It_was moved by Councilman McT~~~eekin and seconded by Councilman Zimmerman that the sum of X4,000.00 unexpended in the bud~'et for fiscal year 1940-41 for Mattoon Relief be transferred from the General Fund to the Special Assessment and Tax Relief Fund and that a warrant be included in the demands for same. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Zimmerman, McMeekin and Nieyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Christensen and Lake. It was moved by Councilman PrlcMeekin and seconded by Councilmar. Zimmerman that X5,000.00 be transferred from the ?Mater Department to the Special Park Capital Fund. Roll Call: Ayes : Councilmen Zimmerman, McMeekin aid P~?eyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilm~sn Christensen and Lake. Davis Hardware 196.34 It was moved by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Council- man P~~cTs4eekin that the demands be allowed and warrants be drawn on the City Treasurer for said various amounts. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Zimmerman, McPv:eekin and P~eyer. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Christensen and Lake. It was moved by Councilman Mclvleekin and seconded by Councilman ~5~ Zimmerman that the meeting adjourn to July 1, 1941, at 7:30 P. TAI.
