The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session, in the Council Chamber of the City Ha11, 11331 Plaza

Councilmen Christensen, ~irrur:erman, i;+ici~;Ieekin and Trleyer answered
the• roll call.
Councilman Lake was absent.

It was moved by Councilman `Lymmerrnan arld seconded by Councilman Christen-
sen that the further reading of said Ordinance be waived. All members of
the Council present votinb a`re, the T~iayor declared the motion duly car»ied
and it ~^:as so ordered .
It was moved by Couneilrnan Christensen and ~ecanc~ed by Council-
man ~~cTV~Ieekin that said Ordinance I~?o . 350 be adopted as read the second
time, finally pass and be published as required by law.

It was moved by Councilman NIcI~,~Ieekin and seconded by Councilman
Christensen that said Ordinance No. 351 be adopted as read the second
time, finall~r pass and be published as required by law.

Absent: Councilman Lake.
The City Clerk submitted his Annual statement of Receipts and
Disburserr~ents showing, fund balances for fiscal year beginning July 1, 1940
and ending; June 30, 1941. Thereupo~ it was moved by Councilman T~cPJieekin
and seconded by Council:nar_ ~hratea~ ~~'iat said statement be accepted and
ordered filed. All members of the Crunch present voting aye, .the Mayor
declared the motion duly carried.
IVlayor I~~ieyer stated that there is need of an appointee on the
Civilian Defense, Board for the County of Los Angeles from the City Coun-
cil. It was moved by Councilman T~~cl~2eekin and seconded by Councilman
Zimmerman that Councilman Christensen ire appointed as a member to rep-
resent the City Council. All members of the Council present voting aye,
the Nlayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered.
It was moved by Councilman Christensen and seconded by Council-
man Zimmerman that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for
the purchase of a new car, two-door sedan for use by the Building Depart-
ment. All members of the Council present voting aye, the Ia'Iayor declared
the motian duly carried.
It was moved by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Councilman
T~IcTJleekin that the rneeting adjourn to September 2, 1941, at 7:30 P.TdI. All
members of the .Council present voting aye, the It~Iayor declared the motion
duly carried and it was so ordered.
