Mayor McRiieekin in the chair. Councilmen LG.ke, `Willard and McNleekin answered. the roll call. Councilmen Christensen and Me~Ter .were absent. It was moved by Councilman W~-hard and seconded by Councilman Lake that the minutes of the previous regular meeting-of October 6, 142 be approved a-s written. All members of the Council. present voting aye, the PJlayor declared the motion duly carried and. it was so ordered. The hour of 12:30 P. P.I. having. arrived, said time being• the hour fixed for receiving bids for the construction of sanitary sewers in cer- tain sections of the City a.s specified in Resolution of Intention No. 1468, and as per notices inviting' bids .,ublished as reauired by law. The R~ayor announced that this tF~as the time and place to receive bids, inquireing of the audience ~<<hether or not a.ny one wished to submit any more bids. There was no response. Thereupon the City Clerk. presented the bid. s. that had been filed in his office. It tiaras moved by Councilman Lake and seconded b,y Councilman ~Fli~- lard that the bids be publicly opened and declared-. All members of tre Council present voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried. The following firms submitted bids: Leko & Bosn~rak V. C. K. Construction Co. Artukovich Bros. and P. & J. Artukovich. TI-.ere being no objection, the T~Tayor referred the bids to City Engineer Bateman for cI^,ecking. 9,uitclaim Deeds were submitted wherein t'r_e Grantor deeds his interest ~n the Lots listed below to the City of Lynwood, as follows: One signed by J. K. Fleming and Violet J. Fleming covering Lots 44 and 45, Blook 4, T~od,jeska Park, dated August 21, 1942; One signed by Herbert Pvi. Murray and Gladys L. Murray covering Lot 108, Tract ~-~5~., dated August 19, 142; One signed b,r W. F. Bocce and Tvlarian Bocce covering Lot 120, Tract 921, dated August 22, 1942; One signed by George B. Stealer and Florence F. Stealer covering the Southerly one-half of Lot 8, Try-ct 2'794; One signed 'py Herbert M. I~iiurray and Gladys L. Tai~rray covering Lots 24., 25 and 26, Block 4, ~~iod,jeska Park, dated Au must 1, 1942. It was moved by Councilman Lake and. seconded by Councilman 'Millard that said deeds be accepted and. that the City Clerk be directed to cause said instruments to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California. Tvliller as Chief of Police in the penal sum of X1,000..00, was presented. It ~a~as moved by Council- man Lake and seconded bzr Councilman Vdillard that the bond be accepted.
