M. Mayor Wiggins in the chair. Councilmen Shrock, Meyer, Tucker and Wiggins answered the roll call. Councilman Looney was absent. It was moved by Councilman Shrock and seconded by Council- man Meyer that the minutes of the previous regular meeting of $~ay 15, 1945 be approved as written. All members of the City Council presel~t voting aye, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and it was so ordered. A demand was presented in favor of H. L. Byram, Tax Col- lector of Los Angeles County, drawn on the Tax Deeded Land Fund, in the sum of 4"82.51. It was moved by Councilman Shrock and'.' •~ seconded by Councilman Tucker that said demand be allowed and a ' warrant be drawn on the City Treasurer for said amount. Ro 11 Ca 11: Ayes: Councilmen Shrock, Meyer, Tucker and Wiggins. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Looney. ORDINANCE N0. 412, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 4 AND 8 OF ORDINANCE NO• 382, AND TRANSFERRING 25¢ PER MONTH COLLECTED FROTvi EACH WATER USER TO THE OAPITAr. OUTLAY FUND OF SAID CITY FOR CITY PARK IN~ROVE- MENT, " was read for the second reading. Mayor Wiggins announced that if any one cared to speak in favor of the Ordinance or against the adoption of it, that they may do so at this time. At this time Councilman Looney arrived and took his seat at !the Co~.ancil table. Whereupon the following addressed the Council pro and con relative to the matter: Mr. Lee Meyer, Mr. Harald Swenson, Mrs. Winn, Mrs. Mangold, less. BaT~er, Mr. Francis Martin, Mr. Walter Read, Mr. Ralph W. Lake, Mr. Valentine, Mrs. Ellington, Mr. Bush, Miss Meverly Lutz, Mr. J. W. Denny, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Saling, Mr. Ellington, Mr. Bob Horner, Mr. Floyd Healy, Mr. Kessinger, Mr. Theron, Mr. Painter, Mr. C. E. Williams, Mr. Crowl, Mrs. Sever. Councilmen Meyer, Shrock anc~ Wiggins expressed their view$ in favor of the adoption of the pror.~osed Ordinance. Councilmen Looney and Tucker expressed their views why they were against the adoption of the proposed Ordinance. Thereupon it wa.s moved by Councilman Shrock and seconded by Councilman Meyer that Ordinance No. 412 as heretofore read be adopted as read the second time, finally pass and be published as required by law. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Tucker and seconded by Councilman Looney that the adoption of said Ordinance be tabled, and upon roll call showed the following results: Ayes: Councilmen Looney and Tucker. Noes: Councilmen Shrock, Meyer and Wiggins. Roll Call on motion to adopt Ordinance No. 412: Ayes: Councilmen Shrock, Meyer and Wiggins. Noes: Councilmen Looney and Tucker. '~' It was moved by Councilman Shrock and seconded by Council- man Meyer that the meeting adjourn to June 5, 1945, at 7.:30 P. M.
